Business Development Manager

Job Title: Business Development Manager  

Location: Mulbarton, Norfolk

Reporting to: Managing Director

Contract: Full time

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

We are looking to recruit a full time Business Development Manager to join our team to promote continued growth in our customer portfolio. Working within the team and by yourself, you will be responsible for developing the relationships with existing and new customers, ensuring our brand is well represented and supporting the sales process.

This is a hands-on role, where you will need to reach these targets by generating sales through research and lead generation. We are looking for someone with clear leadership credentials and a track record of running a successful sales team as the role will eventually lead to management of an internal sales team.

Part of this role will be to work with the Business Development Director to form a sales strategy.

The ideal candidate will promote the mission, vision and values of Shield Health and Safety.

Outline of main duties:

Ensure all business activity and operations are delivered in line with the Shield strategy and mission Work closely with the Shield team to deliver against agreed financial targets including sales, profitability and cash flow

Provide consistent and clear feedback to the Directors on progress with delivery of agreed plans

Build trusting relationships with new and existing customers

Maintain a deep knowledge of the RTITB/HSE/ITSSAR Training legislations, including customer needs and competitor activity

The successful applicant will also be asked to perform other duties on an ad-hoc basis and will need a proactive attitude to this.  

Essential Skills:

Sales experience (3 years preferred), Strategic thinking Collaboration and communication skills Verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Relationship and rapport building High integrity and credibility.
